VARIETIES OF ENGLISH L3

Everybody uses to communicate with people from other countries, when they do not share their native languages.

  1. -Name other languages, from present or past times, which you think are, or were, global languages.
French used to be the language of communication, but it declined during World War I, but still remains one of the working languages of many international organisations. Furthermore, Spanish is also considered one of the world languages nowadays
  2. - In you opinion, what factors make a language become a global language? From my point of view, a language has more possibilities to become a global language when it is spoken by those who wield power and also when it is an easy language to learn.

English Varieties

  1. - What English varieties can you think of? British English, American English, Australian/New Zealand English, Indian-Pakistan English and African English.
